Psalms 37:21 – If You Have To Go In Debt, Make Sure And Pay It Back
Psalms 37:21 – The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.
Psalms 37:21 Explained
While debt is never a good thing to have, there are times in life when it can’t be avoided. Few people can afford to buy a house or a car without obtaining a loan. However, those are generally the only things you should have to go in debt to buy.
In today’s economy, we are experiencing the fallout of individual’s reckless spending habits. They went in debt to purchase anything and everything, and now many think they should not be responsible for paying back that debt. Home foreclosures are escalating as homeowners that have borrowed excessively to live in that home are now making the choice not to pay back that loan.
Of course there are always exceptions to the rule and there may be times in your life when you genuinely can’t repay money that you have borrowed. However, you should never ever borrow money that you don’t intend to repay or that you don’t have a plan to repay.
